Scholarships

In accordance with our mission statement's goal of providing a nurturing environment for the fine art education of children, the Art For Kids School provides scholarships so that children may benefit, even if their family has limited financial means.

A limited number of scholarships are available each year which allow students to attend at a reduced fee. The School receives no grants or other external support, so the funds used to grant these scholarships are directly contributed by Dolly Meymand, the founder and director of the school.

If you wish to have your child attend, but feel that you truly cannot afford the current tuition (which includes all materials and teaching), please contact the AFKS Director or Assistant Director listed for the school to discuss the possibility of a scholarship for your child. 

Since scholarships are limited, and are offered on a case-by-case basis, we ask that you join us in reserving these scholarships for children and families who are truly in need. The general rule is you must participate in the schools free lunch program to be considered for an AFKS Scholarship.

Scholarships are awarded only by contacting the director responsible for your school prior to enrollment.
