About Art for Kids School!

Dolly has developed an art program which teaches skills to children that our school system typically doesn't have the time to implement and teach, especially with the focus on "academic testing". 

Students will enjoy learning with Dolly, her fabulous hand-picked interns, and the beautiful artwork they will leave the class with. 

My advice to parents is to enroll their children and savor these formative years with artwork worth framing!

My daughter Megan has always loved art. When Megan was in the first grade a flyer was provided from her school advertising the Art for Kids School . I signed Megan up and she is now enjoying her third year. The Art for Kids School is located at many schools, making it convenient to find a time and place that works for your family.  

Dolly Meymand is an amazing art teacher. She has the ability to teach a variety of art techniques and lessons while allowing your child to use his or her imagination and creativity. Dolly's teaching method is positive and encouraging, which enhances each child's artistic development. Dolly promotes a learning environment that is relaxed and fun for the children, while still staying on task to complete each assignment. 

I am always in awe at the art each child makes in the hour they are in class. The art created by your child at Art for Kids School will be admired for a lifetime.  

As a result of this class not only has Megan's artistic ability strengthened, but her love for art and confidence in her own creativity have grown. This class has been an enriching program for Megan and some thing that she looks forward to each week.  

The Art for Kids School has been such a positive experience for Megan that her sister Kate was enrolled this year and absolutely loves it.  

I appreciate and thank Dolly for the opportunity that she has given my children to leam and grow through art.

We've been fortunate to have been provided the Arts for Kids program at our child's school and look forward to continuing with this program in the future.

Dolly and her staff are very patient, encouraging, enthusiastic and have provided a lot of artistic direction and discipline to our children. Our daughter has been in the Arts for Kids program for three years now and her art skills have been tremendously enhanced by the expertise of Dolly and her staff. 

We are so pleased and excited with these results that we also enrolled our son in the class and have seen major improvements in his art abilities. 

We would highly recommend other parents to enroll their children in this program and watch their child's creativity blossom.

I am writing in regards to our wonderful after-school art program called Art for Kids. My children have been a part of this class at East Olympia Elementary School for almost five years. Each year they come home with incredible works of art. The mediums vary from oil pastel and pen and ink, to clay and bronze. I am constantly asking the kids, "Did you do that?"  They always look at me with pride and say, "yes, do you like it?"  

Art for Kids has inspired and encouraged my kids to stretch themselves.  The teachers are extremely patient with each child and recognize the children's strengths and weaknesses. This allows each one to build confidence in their own ability.  

Dolly Meymand, founder of Art for Kids, is amazingly creative with the art projects. When Dolly is teaching at other schools, equally competent artists who bring their own passions and talents to class teach the children. This exposes the kids to different interpretations of art.  

We have loved Art for Kids over the years, and believe it to be a wonderful addition to our children's educational development.

 Through the Art for Kids program, and Dolly's encouragement, our daughter has been inspired to continue on and find a career in the art field when she grows up.

Our son Brent has, from a very young age, had an interest for art.   

Thanks to Dolly at Art for Kids School, and his school for offering the after-school program.  (This is his fourth year).  

Brent has been able to explore all variations of art techniques (ie. Ink, water colors, charcoal, color pastels).  Brent has a greater appreciation and understanding for art.  

He enjoys his time at class and looks forward to each new experience and challenge.  

Brent’s participation in this program has inspired him to spend more of his free time being creative (ie. coloring and drawing), and sharing his new knowledge of art techniques with his sister Payton.   

Our family looks forward to seeing all of his new creations after each art class.  He is truly a wonderful artist.
