Registration and Registration Forms

 

To register your child in Art for Kids School, you can:

  1. Obtain a registration form from your school (many parents will receive this with their "first day of school" information), or 

  2. Contact the Director responsible for your school (contact information for each school is listed on the Schools Page), or

  3. Some of the schools have downloadable registration forms.  If you school has forms available online, you can download a printable registration form for your school by clicking one of the links at the bottom of this page. 

We hope to have printable registration forms available online for all schools where AFKS is offered in the near future.  

 

Once you have obtained your registration form,  please be sure to read all of the information included.  All school policies and basics are listed on this site.  School policies are also provided for students on the first day of classes.

 

Fill out the registration form completely (Child name and age, parent name, mailing address, and at least one contact phone number are required).  Sign the form and include a check for the first month's tuition.  Mail the form to the address listed on your registration form.  

 

There is a "register by" date listed on each registration form.  Classes are limited in size, so early registration is recommended to assure reservation of a place for your child.

This year we are will be using email to communicate with you about class schedule changes, tuition changes and other important information. This is the only way you will receive information from us as there will be no paper handouts in class.

You must subscribe to our email if your child is enrolled or enrolling in upcoming classes with Art For Kids School.

Monthly tuition is listed on the registration form for each school.   This tuition covers all materials for the classes (with the exception of the $25 fee for bronze-casting projects).  A limited number of scholarships are available at each school.  To request a scholarship, you must contact the director listed for your school on the Schools page and receive approval in advance.

In accordance with our mission statement's goal of providing a nurturing environment for the fine art education of children, the Art for Kids School provides scholarships so that children may benefit, even if their family has limited financial means.  

 

A limited number of scholarships are available each year which allow students to attend at a reduced fee.  The School receives no grants or other external support, so the funds used to grant these scholarships are directly contributed by Dolly Meymand, the founder and director of the school.

 

If you wish to have your child attend, but feel that you truly cannot afford the current tuition (which includes all materials and teaching), please contact the director listed next to your school on the "Schools Page"  to discuss the possibility of a scholarship for your child.

 

Since scholarships are limited, and are offered on a case-by-case basis, we ask that you join us in reserving these scholarships for children and families who are truly in need.  If you a wondering whether you qualify for a scholarship, a general rule of thumb is: If you eat out twice a month or more, you can probably afford our program.

 

Scholarships are awarded only by contacting the director responsible for your school prior to enrollment.
